TRN419Y1: Comparative American, British and Canadian Foreign Policy

Course Description

This course examines the foreign policies of three major English-speaking democracies in comparative perspective, with attention to such themes as the notion of a special American, British, or Canadian “mission” in world events, the major foreign policy traditions in each country, and the roles of individual decision makers. Students will study foundational texts from each country as well as secondary works. Since this is a seminar course, students will be graded on class participation as well as written work.
